Why Rhod and Novie can’t hit Syjuco

Among local radio anchormen, Rhod Tecson and Novie Guazo have built a notoriety as having the most virulent tongues to the point of downright libel. Gov. Tupas and I have been their targets for over five years now, and hardly a day passes by without getting a few minutes of their personal insults over the airlanes. Their words are always characterized by bile, spite and malice. If words were bullets, then Gov. Tupas and I would have been shred to pieces as a result of the overwhelming volume of fire. But then, both Rhod Tecson and Novie Guazo have one problem — their credibility is gone. And as a result, their bullets turned out to be duds.

I don’t listen to them. Their commentaries are not worth my time and attention. However, word has reached me that Rhod and Novie seem to be treating TESDA secretary Boboy Syjuco like a sacred cow. With all the scandals exploding around Syjuco over multi-million anomalies, Rhod and Novie have yet to make a negative remark about the TESDA chief and former congressman of the 2nd district of Iloilo. The mountains of evidence against Syjuco are irrelevant to these broadcasters, because they can never, ever, attack Syjuco.

Why is that? Novie and Rhod are on the payroll of Syjuco. This fact was told to me by Syjuco himself during our short-lived truce last year. Syjuco’s statement corraborates information I received long ago that when these two broadcasters left Bombo, they went to have dinner with him at his Sta. Barbara residence and sealed a long-lasting relationship of mutual cooperation. This was further reinforced three years ago when Syjuco held a Christmas party for local leaders in the 2nd district at the Sarabia Manor Hotel. Rhod and Novie took the stage as emcees during the program. They even wore TESDA t-shirts that praised Syjuco as a great leader.

It’s too bad Rhod and Novie took the path to corruption at a young age, especially after they were kicked out of Bombo Radyo. With this knowledge, I wouldn’t be surprised that Rhod and Novie would escalate their virulent attacks against Gov. Tupas and myself upon orders of Syjuco.

Rod and Novi are like Rolex. Notwithstanding the wrongdoings and lies of Ferj Biron, Rolex even has the nerve to praise Biron. Rolex licks the ass of Ferj, like Rod and Novi leaking the balls of Syjuco. Kanya-kanyang style, kanya-kanyang diskarte, after all, they are all the same… PERA LANG NAMAN KATAPAT NILA! NAKAKASUKA!!!

And yet, when they talk, they behave as if their linen is unsoiled…. the truth is that their characters are rotten!

How long has it been since Rhod and Novie left Bombo? Four years? I remember Rhod and Novie barking over the airlanes when they were still at Bombo that our days at the Capitol were numbered. “Pack up your things, Boy Mejorada,” they hollered. As it turned out, I’m still at the Capitol, while they were booted out of Bombo.
